Bruce Bonar, Club Manager of Rutland Sailing Club said,

"On behalf of Rutland SC and our Commodore Peter Ashworth, can I thank you all so very much for your extremely generous donations to this competition.  We have watched enviously in previous years as other clubs have won fantastic prizes like this and we are all absolutely thrilled to  be that lucky club this year!   It really will make a huge difference to the sailing and training opportunities we are able to provide to our members this year and in years to come and has provided an ideal start of season boost!"

Fire, police, coastguards and RNLI teams staged a rescue from a flooded campsite near Fleet in Hampshire. The Hawley Lake exercise was designed to test their response to flooding. 18 November 2010. www.bbc.co.uk

SARA 5 on service at the "Ryder Cup" golfing event at Newport in South Wales. Severn Area Rescue Association crew teamed up with officers from Avon & Somerset Constabulary to provide security and safety cover on the River which bordered the Golf Course. October 2010.
